Uniform Recycling Program FAQs

How do I bring in my uniforms to sell back?

Bring in your excellent condition pants, shirts and shorts pressed and on hangers. All other gently used school uniform items must be clean and on hangers.

Recycling Program drop off hours:

October 1st through August 15th-

Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday through Thursday: Open 3:00-6:00pm
Friday through Saturday : Open 10:00am-1:00pm

August 16th through September 31st-

CLOSED: No drop offs are accepted during back to school season

What can I receive for my used uniforms?

We give in-store credit for all items accepted for the Recycling Program.

Will you buy everything I bring in?

We reserve the right to refuse any item based on brand, condition, or inventory needs. Items must be part of a current school uniform program in the Tulsa area. Skirts, jumpers and skorts brought in for the recycling program must be sold at a recognized school uniform retailer and specific to the school uniform industry. All other item styles must be comparable to current K. Renee’s Uniform Closet retail inventory.

How do you determine what my item is worth?

Items are individually inspected. Each item will be graded Excellent, Moderate, Fair, or Does Not Pass. Item value is based on the condition as a percentage of original retail prices. You can receive from 7% to 25% of an item’s original retail price.

How many items may I bring in at one time?

October 1st through June 15th - up to 20 items per week may be dropped off for processing;

June 16th through August 15th - up to 10 items (skirts, skorts, jumpers, blazers & fleece only) per week may be dropped off for processing. (No drop offs are accepted during back to school season.)

How long will inspection of my items take before I receive credit?

October 1st through June 15th - items will be processed within 3* business days
June 16th through August 15th - items will be processed within 5* business days

How do I get my credit?

When your items have been inspected, you will be notified via email or phone call informing you of your in-store credit balance. If you choose, we will issue a gift card for the amount of the credit, which you may use yourself, sell, give to a friend, or donate to the school of your choice.

What if I don't approve the amount?

If approval is not available because we can not get in touch with you after 72 hours of the first email or phone call attempt, the items will be processed for in-store credit. If we contact you and you do not agree with the amount, you are welcome to pick up your items within 10 business days. If the items are not picked up within those 10 days, the items will be processed for in-store credit as originally stated. (The items will no longer be available for pick up.)

Better condition items mean more in-store credit toward future purchases.
